Trong kỳ thi TOEIC Bridge của Viện kiểm định giáo dục Hoa Kỳ ETS vừa được tổ chức tại VN, bạn Võ Ngọc Hoài Trâm, học sinh lớp 10 Trường THPT Nguyễn Du (TP.HCM), đã đạt 178 điểm.
Số điểm này sát với điểm tuyệt đối 180 của kỳ thi. Một học viên khác là Nguyễn Lan Anh tham dự kỳ thi TOEIC cũng đạt được điểm số rất cao với 915/990 điểm. Trước đó, một số học sinh VN đã có được thành tích rất tốt trong kỳ thi TOEIC và TOEIC Bridge. Tiêu biểu như Nguyễn Hà Nguyên Anh (học sinh Trường THPT Lê Quý Đôn, TP.HCM) đạt 180/180 điểm.

TOEIC và TOEIC Bridge là những chứng chỉ năng lực ngôn ngữ cần thiết để học sinh, sinh viên đăng ký xét tuyển vào trường trung học, ĐH tại các nước nói tiếng Anh. Ngoài ra, nhiều công ty, tổ chức trên thế giới cũng sử dụng kết quả chứng chỉ này để đánh giá trình độ tiếng Anh của nhân viên.
