Tretinoin over the counter at an average cost of $5.75 per tablet (plus $1 bottle of lotion), and I don't know if I'm even one of them.
As one of the biggest purchasers drugstore lotion in the country, my opinion on it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. I've heard so many negative things about it that it's a little difficult for me to even justify the purchase.
Is this what I've been missing for years? Have I been scammed into thinking need this stuff? How many people have purchased this stuff without even trying it to know what feels like? How many others have been forced to take an expensive and potentially dangerous pill that seems to have a negative effect, at least compared to other over-the-counter products? And for those who are skeptical about their own "natural" skin care remedies, does this really need a warning label that says "This product contains retinoic acid? Not good? safe? Be careful?"
I've heard so many terrible stories about these anti-aging creams that it's really depressing to know what goes on behind the scenes of this industry. And even worse for me, when I finally took a look at this product, I realized how unimportant they really are.
Before I explain why won't buy this lotion from my local drug store, let's look at the ingredients list.
The list of ingredients this lotion that I found was from an online ingredient search for "retinol, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbic acid, and squalene".
On the online search, it does say "this product contains Price of lisinopril hctz an aqueous suspension for skin. means no oil or water. It must be kept under 50% relative humidity to form a skin-loving lipid." It also says that "a very small amount (less than 1%) of a retinol solution (1-2%) may form the aqueous suspension used in this product."
So let's see what this is made out of. According to this list, only sodium ascorbyl phosphate makes tretinoin cream over the counter uk it into it. That's an extremely cheap and simple source of vitamin C, and it's the most commonly available form of vitamin C. The other two ingredients are a little more "hard to find", but are still fairly easy to find. Squalene would be an antioxidant derived from a variety of algae but mostly from seaweed and shrimp. Ascorbic acid is actually used in several types of skin care products such as vitamin C lotions, ascorbyl palmiate serum lotions etc. If you search for the amino acid, try "asparagine"! It also contains other vitamins/antioxidants and minerals.

I am not sure of the reason for this, BUT. I can understand why you would want to put the eyeshadow on your eyes like I suggested. If I could just be certain of the purpose all my eyeliner, I would do so. That way, if someone tries to do that my eyes, I would know exactly what to expect. I don't want any surprises from a makeup artist who may or not be skilled with eyeshadow. Thanks!!
